First we want to say that we hope all of you are in great health: mind, body, and spirit.
As of now, we aren't sure when we'll officially be able to start creating some fabulous statement pieces, and taking orders, but would like to start collecting your clean, gently worn denim (shirts, jackets, jeans, shorts, etc). If you have any denim items you've been wanting to donate, a special, fashion-forward event to attend, or you've just been wondering what to do to add some flare to your favorite denim dress, jumper, jacket, shirt or jeans...send them our way and we'll work with you to bring your vision to life. If you have any questions, or would like to get started on design ideas for your future repurposed item, send us an email: [email protected]. For all local donations (Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens), we can schedule a pick up date/location. All other donations can be shipped to: All Things Denim, Inc. C/O Mary Lafayette 117 Dobbin Street, Suite 208 Brooklyn NY 11222 Please send a courtesy email letting us know your donation was shipped, and tracking details (if applicable), as well as your Instagram (preferred) or Facebook accounts so we can "tag with a thank you!" Stay positive and healthy, All Things Denim

While "self-quarantining" during the pandemic, I was watching a sewing tutorial this morning on 'How To Make a Face Mask' (shout out to Timothy Westbrook, Co-Founder of the Brooklyn Sewing Academy) on YouTube, and finally decided to take my mom's advice. Start my own fashion design company! Though I have designed many looks for clients over the years, I have avoided sewing. Thanks to working on the new HBOMAX reality series, 'LEGENDARY,' I decided in February to start sewing again.
My first class at 10 years old, I made 2 "strappy," slightly defective jumpsuits that I wore with pride. I started my career as a Fashion Stylist in 2001, working with several of the music and fashion industries top celebrities, models, record labels and fashion editorials. As of the last 4 or 5 years, I have been working in wardrobe on various TV and film productions, and finally joined the Local 764 Theatrical Wardrobe Union in New York City last January. Another accomplishment that was long overdue. All Things Denim (ATD) is the first name that came to mind, and perfect for the concept. As divine timing would have it, my mom called right after this creative awakening, and I shared the great news. She loved the name, and emphatically encouraged me to, "Do it!" I checked to see if the domain name was available, and here we are, less than 24 hours later. I want this venture to be inspiring not only for me, but my fellow artists and designers and, of course, the customers. I want the merchandise to be memorable, creative and fun. Items sold on the site will be exclusive pieces made from new and recycled denim. Designs will be made and/or inspired by me, as well as local, national and global designers. The remainder of 2020 will be dedicated to sourcing materials, designers, and...CREATING. If you are interested in selling some of your denim jewelry, footwear, apparel, handbags, accessories, home decor and outerwear creations, or donating gently worn denim (jeans and jackets), please contact me at [email protected].
